Katina Rye, 46

Mrs. Katina Rye, 46, of Lee, FL, passed away on November 12, 2019 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL following an extended illness. Katina was born April 7, 1973 in Quitman, Georgia to Morris Morgan Wise and Linda June Reynolds Wise.

She was a graduate of Brooks County High School and a Homemaker to her family. She owned and operated Tina’s Tidy Tasks, a cleaning service, in Lake Park, GA for 8 years before moving to North Georgia. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, shopping in thrift stores, and decorating her home for the holidays. Katina was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and June Wise.

She is survived by; her husband of 20 years, Randy Rye; 4 children, Dylan Hammett, of Valdosta, GA, Meagan Mulhall, and husband James, of Valdosta, Kristin Rye, of Lee, and Landon Rye, of Lee; 3 brothers, Steve Wise, Keith Wise, and wife Robin, and Jeff Wise, and wife Lisa, all of Quitman, GA; 3 grandchildren, Cadence, Maisley, and Collin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services was held on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 3:30 p.m. at Corinth Cemetery. The family received friends prior to the service from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 17 at Burns Funeral Home of Madison. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Madison.
