Irene Sapp, 81

Mrs. Irene Sapp, 81 of Quitman passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at her residence.  Mrs. Sapp was born July 8, 1938 to the late Joe Bill Bomnskie and Helen Gurney Bomnskie.  She worked as a Teachers Aid with the Brooks County Schools.  Mrs. Sapp was a member of Northside Baptist Church and was a faithful servant to the Lord.

Survivors include her husband, J E “Miles” Sapp of Quitman; children, Jimmy (Shirley) Sapp of Quitman, Sherry (Mike) Carlson of Weeki Wachee, Fl, Kathy (Roy) Cone of Quitman, Leslie (Butch) Lacey of Quitman, and Toni (Landy) Barker of Hahira; grandchildren, Rachel Carlson, Sarah Carlson, Rebecca Carlson, Kari Kopp, Blaine Hendon, and Casey Hendon.

Funeral services were held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Harris and Rev. Ben D’Amico officiating.  Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Lonnie Sapp, Hub Cashwell, Lou Warga, Billy Thigpen, Joe Wheeler, and Randy Hendon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Tape Ministry for the Homebound, P.O. Box 94, Quitman, GA  31643.
