Susan Dittmar, age 71, resident of Valdosta, GA, passed away on October 24, 2019 at Tift Memorial Hospital, after a long illness.
She was married to James W. Dooly (deceased) and is survived by two daughters Dr. Cynthia Dooly (spouse Paul Welch), and Melissa Koenemann (spouse Andre Koenemann). She also has 7 grandchildren, Grace Mills, McKenzie Edwards (spouse Christian Edwards), Andrew Koenemann, Adam Koenemann, Seth Welch, Emily Koenemann, Adelyne Welch and one great-grandson, Bentley Edwards. She is survived by her younger brother Jeff Dittmar, and her sister in-law Lori Dittmar and their children Jonathan and Christopher Dittmar.
She was born in Wilmington Delaware, the daughter of Gordon and Evelyn Dittmar both deceased.
Susan Dittmar worked as the Secretary and Treasurer for the First Presbyterian Church of Quitman, and as the Director of Noah’s Ark Day Care Center in Quitman for many years. She also, was the church Secretary for Trinity Presbyterian Church in Valdosta. She then pursued a career in real estate becoming a real estate broker while working in the Atlanta metro area.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church in Quitman, Ga at 11 a.m. Rev. Dan Nail will be performing the Celebration Service. A meal for those attending will follow.
